Terms of Service

The conditions for using Hostsy to create and manage digital accommodation guides.

Version 2026-09-30 · Last updated: 30 September 2026

Provider and service

These terms govern use of Hostsy, provided by Domain Controller - Serviços de Informática e Internet, Unipessoal Lda, identified below. Hostsy lets account holders create, manage and publish accommodation guides. It does not supply accommodation, manage bookings or guarantee the accuracy of information supplied by hosts. Specific commercial terms expressly agreed with a customer apply to that customer alongside these terms.

Your account

Provide accurate registration and billing information and keep it updated. You must be authorised to act for the person or organisation whose account you create. Protect your credentials, manage access for team members and contact support promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Trial and access

The standard introductory trial lasts 14 days, without requiring a payment card, and includes one accommodation, unless a different offer is expressly shown or agreed. The account displays the applicable trial conditions. A trial does not by itself authorise a charge.

After trial expiry, access to paid features and published guides may be restricted unless an active subscription or an expressly agreed complimentary arrangement applies. Complimentary accounts follow their agreed conditions and are not automatically converted into paid subscriptions.

Prices, payments and renewal

Paid subscriptions are charged according to the offer, billing period and billable-property quantity presented and accepted. Check the total, tax treatment and any discount duration before confirming payment. Unless the agreed offer states otherwise, each non-deleted accommodation counts towards the quantity, with a minimum of one; unpublishing a guide does not by itself remove it from billing.

Where available and accepted, recurring subscriptions renew for the chosen monthly or annual period until cancelled. Payments are processed through Stripe. An agreed price or offer is not changed merely because a new public catalogue version is published. Changes to an existing contract require the applicable agreement and notice; they must not be inferred from the public price list.

Cancellation and refunds

Use the subscription controls available in your account, or contact support, to request cancellation. The applicable end date is shown when cancellation is confirmed; cancelling renewal does not necessarily end access immediately. Contact us about an incorrect charge or a refund, providing the account and invoice reference.

Any refund or right of withdrawal depends on the agreed offer, the circumstances and applicable law. These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights. If you contract as a consumer and a statutory withdrawal right applies, you can exercise it by contacting us; using the service does not, by itself, constitute a blanket waiver of that right.

Your content and acceptable use

You retain rights in the content you upload and grant us the permissions needed to store, process and display it to deliver Hostsy. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions, and for keeping accommodation instructions, contact details and safety information accurate.

Do not upload unlawful material, infringe others’ rights, expose confidential or sensitive information without a proper basis, distribute malware, attempt unauthorised access or disrupt the service. Where you provide personal data about guests or other people, you are responsible for the relevant notices and instructions to us; contact us to establish any required data-processing terms.

Availability and suspension

The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, incidents or circumstances outside our control. Contact support about an interruption; no specific availability or response-time commitment applies unless expressly agreed.

Access may be restricted for an expired trial, unpaid subscription, misuse or a security or legal requirement. We will provide information and an opportunity to resolve the issue where appropriate. Keep copies of important content and contact support about available export options before closing an account.

Responsibility and third-party services

Hostsy supplies the platform; the accommodation operator remains responsible for the stay, published content and communications with guests. Links, maps and payment services may be subject to third-party terms. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes, applicable law and contact

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or applicable requirements. The version and date are displayed above; material contractual changes will be communicated as appropriate and do not retrospectively rewrite an agreed price.

Portuguese law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or access to courts available under applicable law. Contact us using the details below for a complaint, contractual question or request to close an account.
